The IPS/S3.1.1 IP interface forms the interface between KNX installations and IP networks and operates according to the KNXnet/IP specification (tunneling). KNX devices can be programmed via LAN using ETS. Five tunneling servers are available for this purpose and for other clients (e.g., visualizations). The IP address of the IPS/S can be statically configured or obtained from a DHCP server. Power is supplied via 12–30 V DC or alternatively via PoE according to IEEE 802.3af Class 1.
